One (1) week training/workshop was held at Japan Motors Trading Company (JMTC) – Tema, Heavy Industrial Area which commenced on Monday, 8th August to Saturday, 13th August 2022. Twelve (12) Participants from five (5) Universities as well as Staff from other branches of Japan Motors attended the training/workshop. The Universities include Koforidua Technical University (KTU), Ashesi University, Ho Technical University (HTU), Accra Technical University (ATU), and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
The purpose of the training was to learn how to assemble and build Scooters. During the period of training, a Scooter diagram was unveiled pointing out various parts. Also, an educative video span 2 minutes and 51 seconds was displayed on how to assemble the Scooter.
Participants were divided into two (2) groups of six (6) where each person was assigned a role that rotated daily under supervision. The assembly process of the Scooters required the fixing of the front fender, brakes, front wheel, front disc headlight, handlebar, rear fork, rear reflector, rear fender, and taillight.
After assembling, the quality control test was performed on each Scooter to ensure it meets the required standard.
At the end of the training/workshop, participants were able to build a total number of thirty-six (36) Scooters.
