Happy World Radio Day!
Today, February 13,2025, we celebrate the transformative impact of radio on our lives.
Radio has been a cornerstone of communication for decades. It has become a constant companion, providing information, education and entertainment to millions of people globally.
The estimated number of radio users in Ghana is expected to hit 22.4 million by 2029 whereas traditional radio remains a vital platform for community engagement and information dissemination in the country (Statista,2024).
We at KTU Radio are proud to be part of the legacy of radio. We have constantly used the campus radio network to amplify student voices, showcase talent, and foster community engagement.
As we celebrate World Radio Day initiated by UNESCO, let’s recognise the power of radio to shape minds, inspire change, transform cultures and bring people together.
Let’s use the occasion to celebrate the dedicated team of student presenters, producers, journalists and technical staff at KTU Radio who work tirelessly to ensure the success of the campus FM station.
We are forever grateful to the support and guidance we receive from the University Management, FM Board and all other stakeholders and partners.
Tune in to KTU Radio today, share our stories and celebrate the diversity of our campus community.
Long live KTU Radio! Long live World Radio Day!
