Recently, government’s performance have gone worsen as compared to erstwhile Mahama’s administration. The good peoples of Ghana are very disappointed in this current Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo’s administration and that’s the truth beyond circumstances.
Sometimes when I listen to the lies of this government, I feel very hurt in my heart as some of the creativity they indulge in crafting some of their palpable lies to deceive Ghanaians. What have these innocent Ghanaians done wrong to deserve these?
The Akufo Addo government had led Ghanaians into untold hardship, state of insecurity and a corruption free governance.
One key pivotal area this government has woefully failed on its promise is the issue of security. Without security, you cannot talk about the economy, because it is this security that will serve as a catalyst to protect, give confidence to foreign investors to come and invest.
Security should be the first of government’s priority and shouldn’t be compromised. Secure the nation and the economy will flourish.
This administration has not made any significant impact on the lives of Ghanaians in the last three years. In the area of security, multitudes of Ghanaians are prone to security threats since President Akuffo Addo came to power, it being the recent kidnappings, contract killings, high rate of robbery, vigilantism on the rise et al. This a clear cut direction that this regime has lost it’s policy on security. The good peoples of Ghana will attest to this as compared to erstwhile Mahama’s administration. All indications are pointed to the negative as far as security is concerned.
With regards to the economy, Ghanaians have lost their jobs while more businesses have been wrecked in the last three years. People are hungry and struggling to feed. It sounds so irritating to hear government touts an improvement in the economy. If you say the economy is growing, it must reflect on the tables of the ordinary Ghanaians. Citizens are struggling to get water and electricity. All indices on health, education and employment are negative. Prices of food items have gone up astronomically while wages remain static and domestic needs keep rising. unemployment have become the order of the day. Under this government we are indeed in chain because they have created more poverty than wealth. Today Ghanaians have come to accept the painful fact that the only reason for our poverty and our persistently bad economy is as a result of the weak government that’s been driven by Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo.
Thus to highlight on corruption, truth is that the masses cannot feel the positive effect of governments efforts as far as the campaign promise on corruption is concerned. The anti corruption fight is laughable, by the time this regime ends and books are checked, this administration would have broken the record of the most corrupt regime. Ghana is flowing with blood, instead of milk and honey. Anti corruption fight is selective, it rather geared towards the opposition. There is no genuine anti corruption fight.
Our President promised a robust economy, improve security and fight corruption to a standstill, but, three years down the line, he has not been able to achieve any of it apart from blaming his predecessors, contrary to what the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) promised Ghanaians while in opposition, they have done virtually nothing to keep to their promise of holding the country to a good stands. It is therefore evident that the Akuffo Addo administration has been more of a failure in the three major areas of its manifesto.
There are tough questions to wrestle with as we struggle to develop this nation. The lesson to learn is that Ghanaian voters should not forget that there are good politicians and bad politicians.
