This post is based in the Faculty of Built and Natural Environment, a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment with a strong tradition of excellence in teaching underpinned by strong research and industry links in the professional fields of real estate, planning, urban design and construction.
As Lecturer in Real Estate Management, you will be responsible for:
- Teaching on real estate management programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Pursuing research and knowledge transfer activities
- Seeking external funding for research and knowledge transfer
- Supervising higher National Diploma and BTech degree students
- Contributing to developing programmes and curriculum development
- Contributing to the development of new educational initiatives.
You should have:
- A good first degree and post-graduate degree (MPhil/PhD) in a real estate or land economy-related discipline
- Minimum of two years industry or teaching experience in residential and commercial real estate
- The potential to develop and sustain externally funded research and knowledge transfer work
- The potential or track record of publishing in high quality refereed journals
- The ability to teach and supervise undergraduate students
- The ability to develop and lead new programmes
- The ability to build collaborative internal and external relationships
- Experience of successfully working as part of a multi-professional team.
