It’s heartwarming to always come across stories of dedicated and selfless health workers who go beyond the limit to discharge their duties.
A Facebook user, identified as Malcolm Ali and happens to be a member of Coalition of Concerned Nurses and Midwives (CCNM) shared this inspiring story of a female nurse ‘padding’ her way through a mass of water just to deliver quality health care to the inhabitants of a poor community.
Malcolm wrote:
”This is what we go through just to deliver health care services. Despite the circumstances and the passion for the job alone we risk our lives in order to save all children under 5 years from vaccine-preventable disease.”
He continued: ”Whether we are being appreciated or not we know heaven acknowledges our efforts. Not to talk of the numerous dumsor we face at our various CHPS ZONES where you have to move from one facility to the other just to preserve the potency of your vaccines.
May God protect those of us who go through similar situations just to deliver health care.”
