Kurt Okraku has been elected as the new Ghana Football Association President after beating five other contenders.
Mr. Kurt Okraku pulled a total of 44 votes as against George Afriyie’s 40 votes in the first round of voting, forcing the election to go to a second round.
Other competitors in race were Fred Pappoe, Nana Yaw Amponsah, Amanda Clinton and George Mensah.
In the runoff which was contested by only three candidates namely Kurt Okraku, George Afriyie and Nana Yaw Amponsah, Mr. Kurt Okraku had 59 votes to emerge victorious.
Kurt by virtue of this win, succeeds the embattled Kwesi Nyantakyi who resigned after he was involved in a scandalous exposé conducted by investigate journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
