After failing to make a mark in the previous editions of the Ghana Technical Universities Sports Association games, Koforidua Technical University(KTU) have secured a place in the final of the men’s soccer competition.
We reported earlier on KTU drawing against Tamale Technical University(TaTU) and qualifying to the Semi-final after TaTU had failed to play the penalties – as courtesy demands.
KTU came face to face with Sunyani Technical University which was a fierce battle as we recall the history between both sides in the last edition at Kumasi. This gave STU an upper hand over KTU, however history never repeated itself.
KTUinsider.com can confirm the qualification of Koforidua Technical University into the final round of the competition. This came after KTU played the full 90mins with a draw at hand and managed to pull a win by 5-3 aggregate on penalty shootouts.
This progression means KTU will face the guys from the west, Takoradi Technical University in the final which comes off at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, 9th February 2019.
