Fan Milk Limited, a multinational manufacturing company in the food and beverages industry is urgently looking for an experienced and results-oriented person for the position of Technical Manager.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Technical Manager will:
- Be responsible for planning, designing and implementing preventive and corrective maintenance programmes to ensure the smooth running of the Company’s plant and chilling centres (cold rooms), to avoid shutdowns due to machine breakdown
- Ensure that machines and equipment are always in conditions that will guarantee best product quality
- Lead, manage and develop the Technical Team
- Manage the maintenance budget to ensure compliance with policies
- Ensure that safety stocks of critical and general spare parts are maintained to mitigate the risk of stockouts
The ideal candidate must:
- Possess at least a good first degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. An MBA will be an added advantage
- Have at least 5 years’ experience (senior management level) in a related/relevant function
- Have good understanding of, and hands-on experience in project management, and demonstrate leadership in managing cross functional stakeholders
- Have experience in the food, dairy or pharmaceutical industry with excellent safety orientation
- Have expertise and experience in cold chain hands-on management
- Be an excellent planner with the ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of French will be an advantage
- Have advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, Chart) & PowerPoint with presentation skills
- Be a self-starter, autonomous and demonstrated ability to bring new unsolicited ideas and solutions to the business
