Management of Koforidua Technical University has admonished students of the institution to stay away from activities which will lure them into engaging in examination malpractices and rather concentrate and remain committed to their studies throughout their stay in the school.
According to the management, they will not hesitate to dismiss any student or group of students found culpable in any form of examination malpractice.
Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor David Kofi Essumang who gave this caution during the institution’s 24th Matriculation ceremony to officially admit first-year students into the school for the 2019/2020 academic year called on students to remain focused.
“Now that we are going to formally admit you into the University, there are things you should be aware of and must know. Our University just like all other universities takes examinations very seriously. Consequently, you are encouraged to carefully read all regulations guiding the conduct of examinations here at KTU.”
“You need to conduct yourselves properly during all examinations but most importantly, do not cheat because if you are caught you will be summarily dismissed. Avoid examination malpractice which is as evil as occultism and therefore not acceptable in society,” he said.
Professor David Kofi Essumang further tasked the matriculants to always remain alert and begin their work towards achieving the best from now, and not wait till the final year.
