“If you do not know where you come from, then you don’t know where you are, and if you don’t know where you are, then you don’t know where you’re going. And if you don’t know where you’re going, you’re probably going wrong.” Terry Pratchett
We all applied and were admitted in KTU to study different programmes at different levels.
- Does it matter how many attempts you wrote WASSCE?
- Does it matter if you came through mature examination?
- Does it matter if you came with DBS results?
- Does it matter if you came with “O” level or SSCE?
You all are given equal opportunities to sit in the same lecture hall and be taught by same lecturers now.
Now the question is, what different things can you do to add value to your life after KTU?
The Normal Things:
It is normal for some students to miss class, normal for students when a class is cancelled or rescheduled, normal when lectures show up late or not at all, normal for an examination to be cancelled. I can go on and on. but have you ever thought of the huge school fees you are paying, (value for money?)
The Extra Things:
Congratulation on your admission to KTU;
Count yourself a blessing, many gained admission but couldn’t afford to pay fees, and some couldn’t even buy the admission form. You have made a great step towards success but, don’t be carried away with all these, you need to go the extra mile to making your life on campus worth living.
Once on campus, you are exposed to a lot of opportunities you can take advantage of as a student, you can attend any workshops, seminars, conferences, educational trips and training programmes either free or paid.
You can take up entrepreneurial skill training; thanks to the University’s Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development. They have a lot of training modules for students to choose.
KTUinisider also has one of the fascinating training programmes when it comes to improving students’ life in general.
The evolution of KTUinsider is to bridge the gap between information and the students; the focus of students is at heart.
What are you waiting for?
Hurry up and grab this opportunity to add some skills to your life, and to your curriculum vitae.
Don’t only pass through the University but let the University pass through you.
