Ghana’s Black Maidens beat Nigeria’s Super Flamingos 5-4 on penalties to win the inaugural edition of the WAFU Zone B U-17 Girls Cup at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence Prampram on Sunday, December 22, 2024.
The match ended 2-2 in regulation time and proceeded to penalties with Ghana scoring all five of their kicks while Nigeria missed one of their five attempts.
The result means Ghana successfully hosted a great competition but also won the trophy at stake.
