An Opportunity Have Been Granted To Past DBS And HND Students Who Completed Between 2001-2021 And Haven’t Graduated To Graduate – See Details

Pursuant to the directive of the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET) to grant amnesty to students of Diploma and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes who were admitted before 2017 with expired studentship status in Technical Universities in Ghana, Koforidua Technical University (KTU) wishes to extend this opportunity to students whose five years grace period has lapsed. Consequently, all past students who still have trailed courses and wish to take advantage of the special amnesty are invited to register for a special resit examination that will be organized once a year for the next three years starting from the 2022/23 academic year and ending in the 2025/26 academic year with 2001/2002 academic year as a reference point.

The details of the Special Amnesty Resit Examination for the 2022/2023 Academic Year have been outlined below:

• Period for Registration of Trailed Courses:  – 8^th August – 9^th September 2022
• Registration Fee: – GH¢ 50.00 per paper
• Publication of Time Table: – 16^th September 2022
• Date for Examination: – 17^th – 30^th October 2022

In addition to students with trailed courses, KTU has noted that there are some past students who have deficiencies which have been spelt out below. Such students are advised to contact the Students’ Services Section of the Registry for guidelines and assistance:

• Students who abandoned their project work
• Students who submitted their project work late
• Students whose names were omitted from the graduation list
• Students who had medical conditions
• Students who were unable to redeem their trails
• Students who voluntarily withdrew
• Students who were yet to register

Affected students are hereby informed that they will pay a flat rate of GH₵100.00 for participating in this Special Amnesty Arrangement. KINDLY NOTE THAT THE FLAT RATE AND THE REGISTRATION FEE FOR THE RESIT EXAMINATION MUST BE PAID SEPARATELY.
