Who Am I? What do I have to offer to this Earth? Why this life?…i do not have to be amazed if this question happens to be one of the highly undeniable question we humans ask ourselves each day and every night. It does becomes problematic when you do not know who you really are. It even makes matters worse and more devastating when you know who you really are but act wayward or display feign character by following the bandwagon effect, where some do what others do only because it’s popular which leads low self esteem, lack of confidence, not to mention melancholic life. It’s great to realize the kind of persona you really are and staying true to yourself.
As matter of fact, we humans are created to be unique in our own way. This include where one comes from, what one is strongly passionate about, the standards and value one employs in life or what contribute tremendously to ones personality. These characteristics may be onerous to others which justify the conclusion with regards to our uniqueness.
This is what makes you-you, i-i, they-they or we-we. I would be hinging on passion as beforementioned. Great men who from no where climbed to the peak of success was not just a fluke, but they, while their companions were nonchalant, identified who they really are by analyzing what their passion drove them toward. Having the passion alone is not more instrumental than doing what you need to do to achieve that dream. I’m talking about Hardwork. Please allow me cite one classic example of my mentor. His name is Bernard Avle, this man having been adjudged the Journalist of the year –someone who has a degree in Economics and an MD in marketing and never had an official training in journalism but has risen to higher heights in journalism is mind-boggling. Well some may say it’s a miracle or influence or money or even mere chance. I say it’s like a marriage between Mr. Who Am I and Mrs Passion, both working hard at the long run achieving success.
Others like the Sarkodies, the Christiano Ronaldos, the Azuma Nelsons and the likes have done or are still doing the impossible by firstly recognizing who they really are. Like Mark Henry said and i quote–”mathematically speaking, with all the vehement passion one has, the least chance of tasting success when hardwork is abjured”.
WE–i mean you, i and most of us usually find ourselves to be victims by saying things like in our local dialect, ‘wiase koraa afono me, y3b3wu nti y3nda, mabr3 mpo” all sounds funny though but we we often say those things when are we dwindling in on hardwork. So to you(my reader), are passionate in teaching, footballing, singing or writing, anything u are fervent towards, just hack onto it and let the sweat pour down so you can display all your beautiful teeth at the end.
Wherever you are, please ask yourself, WHO AM I?
thank You!
