As a palliative measure to cushion the effects of the harsh economy and galloping scale of unemployment, Dr. Paul Enenche had announced a fresh vista in ministry by way of welfare services. Introducing the program at the Glory Dome, airport road, world headquarters of the church, the man of God acknowledged the damaging effects of poverty, afflictions and joblessness in society, appreciating that the church as part of the larger society also shared a handful of indigent persons that needed physical welfare ministration in terms of food and related welfare services.
According to the man of God, the welfare department of the church had forthrightly undertaken to package raw food items like rice, granulated cassava popularly known as garri, tubers of yam, beans and related condiments to distribute to the people. He said that expected beneficiaries like singles and jobless people, poor single mothers and others could walk to the centre and pick whatever they needed to eat. Speaking further, the man of God also announced the availability of cooked food like jollof rice for immediate consumption especially for those who could be concerned about what to eat at home after the church service.
Dr. Paul Enenche while addressing the mammoth crowd of beneficiaries said that skill acquisition program was in the offing to enable jobless persons to get engaged and become self-reliant.
