As long as you remain consistent with your root, your vision and focus are assured. This is by keeping in mind your root, help Change things that are changeable within your power. Respect the elderly in your born locality, don’t see yourself “over” them and do not be ashamed to do the work you did to grow up.
Life has a principle that states that “If you forget your origin, truly, your destiny would be misplaced right in front of you”. Pay attention to society, school, etc that brought you up. For there are many more left there awaiting your impact to make it higher. Your presence there alone can change a life and make it shaped well to fit in society.
Learn to adore your parents no matter how odd they might look to your current state.
Obeying your parents, is a secret for peaceful and long living, that would groom you to be a good product and a better influence on the society that brought you up. My dear, intellectuals, if not for that ‘illiterate-parenting, nasty mother, and that unprofessional carrier of your parents’ as you may call it, you wouldn’t have been whom you are today. So, respect the root that sprouted to give stem and you as it’s fruit.
I was at home one day, and a woman walks to me and said, “God bless you, my son, do you know why you are different?” I was left speechless until she said, “the way and manner you’re used to help your mum; sell charcoal, firewood, fish, cassava and kinds of stuff is what made you different. Now your life is wealth immolating by our younger generation”.
My mum, use to do “ADEYIEA” and My Dad “Paoopa” at peoples’ farm. Am climbing a bit each day, because I have never looked down upon their ability and effort bringing myself and my younger siblings up. If you are my friend and can’t accept my origin, then I practically imagine we don’t have a future together.
My message for writing this long story is that Success is good as each one expects it each day, but it is very useless when it impacts remains only to you as a person. Let your life change lives, and let society accept you. For there is nothing wealthier than being peaceful in life and that is also guaranteed by obeying your parents as well as the elderly.
