The Ghana National Union of Technical Students (GNUTS), has opened nominations for the maiden edition of its award event the GNUTS Excellence Awards.
The award scheme is designed to honour students, student leaders and senior members of our technical universities who are contributing in diverse ways to the development of technical education in Ghana
AWARD CATEGORIES
Below are the list of awards categories for which members of GNUTS could nominate any qualified student or faculty member:
- Most Disciplined CC Member 2019
- Most Active CC Member 2019
- Most Influential CC Member 2019
- Best Cadet Member 2019
- Sports Personality of the year 2019
- Best Finance Officer/Treasurer 2019
- Best Women’s Commissioner 2019
- Best President 2019
- Best Secretary 2019
- Best GNUTS Ambassador 2019
- Best Institution 2019
- Most Outstanding NEC Member 2019
- Alumni of the year 2019
- Student Entrepreneur of the year 2019
- Student Inventor of the year 2019
- Most Outstanding Dean 2019
- Student Blogger of the year 2019 NOMINATION PROCESSOnly members of GNUTS (that is a student of any of the eight technical universities or two polytechnics) may nominate a person by visiting www.cliqafriq.com/gnuts.phpNomination is free and the nominee should not necessarily be an SRC executive or a national officer of the association, (that is, all students are qualified to be nomibated)
CLOSE OF NOMINATION
Nominations opened on 15th June 2019 and will end on 15th July 2019; after which nominees will be shortlisted and the qualified nominees Interviewed, before voting will be done on www.cliqafriq.com/gnuts.
At the central committee meeting held at Wa Technical University (on 15th June 2019) where it was launched, (by Prince David Orchill, the founder of the National Students’ Awards) both NEC and CC members acknowledged that it is a good initiative that will go a long way to better the lots of technical university students in Ghana
